Job Description

Clearview Public SchoolsRequires a Transportation Services CoordinatorClearview Public Schools invites applications for a 1.0 FTE Transportation Services Coordinator at the Stettler Bus Shop located in Stettler, Alberta. Transportation Services looks after the safe transportation of our approximately 2300 students. This position is scheduled to start January 5, 2022 and will be 7 hours per day 5 days per week. The shift will begin daily at 6:30 am and ends at 2:45 pm November to March and 8:15 am and ends at 4:30 pm remainder of the year.The successful applicant will:

  • Provide training of regular and substitute drivers through the “S” Endorsement, “S” Endorsement Refresher Training Programs and 2S Melt Training Program;
  • Perform driver evaluations and driver monitoring of regular and substitute drivers;
  • Processes registrations for intown busing, collects payments, and prepares student lists for schools and drivers;
  • Arrange student transportation for field trips and extracurricular activities; and
  • Support Transportation Services in other ways as stated in the job description.
Qualifications for this position include:
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, communication and public relations skills;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required;
  • Working knowledge of bus routing software is beneficial;
  • Holds, or working towards, a current, class 2 operator’s license; and
  • Holds, or working towards, Instructors’ Certificate in School Bus Driver Improvement Program and 2S MELT Training Program.
The Transportation Services Coordinator will receive a competitive salary of $27.70 to $35.50 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
