Job Description

Telecon is hiring for exciting immediate, full-time opportunities with our construction team in Hamilton!This position is based out of our construction yard in the Nebo Road and Twenty Road area.This position comes with steady hours, health benefits, company-matched RRSP, opportunities for growth, as well as a competitive pay based on industry standards.The Directional Driller will be responsible for the following:

  • Load and unload directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free
  • Transport associated tools, materials and/or equipment in a safe manner
  • Complete a daily inspection on equipment prior to commencing work
  • In conjunction with locator, operate the directional drill using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place cables and / or duct
  • Trouble shoot any equipment issues and relay to service technician for assistance or resolution
  • Other duties as required
To be considered for the role:
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in directional drilling or locating for a drill
  • Valid G or DZ or ARZ or AZ driver's license
  • Previous experience working around existing buried utilities
  • Must be able to safely lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check
