For more information, visit www.huonaqua.com.auHuon Aquaculture are looking for a Farm Attendant to join our Yellow Bluff Zone. Operating from our Margate site, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team in a challenging and dynamic position with opportunities to build a career in Aquaculture.THE ROLEAs a member of our Yellow Bluff Zone you will be responsible for:

  • Skippering vessels
  • Assisting with the installation and maintenance of our nets, pens and moorings set-up
  • General equipment installation, smolt intake, fish upsizes and the retrieving of mortalities
  • Assist with preparation of fish for harvest, feed deliveries, pen towing
  • Provide support across the site as required
This role will be carried out on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster operating at the Margate site located near Barretta, Tasmania.ABOUT YOU
  • Perform activities with a high degree of safety
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and contractors
  • Are experienced in a similar position (desirable)
  • Enjoy nutting out and resolving problems, strong organizational skills
  • Eye for details and the ability to work with tight deadlines
LICENCES
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Coxswains Licence
