The bar is set high, but we strive to reach it together.If you are looking for an opportunity to learn and grow and promote positive change in a friendly, safe environment, we’d love to hear from you!Strathroy-Caradoc… Urban Opportunity, Rural Hospitality.The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc is currently accepting applications for one (1) full-time, permanent “IT Support Technician.”Position Summary:Under the supervision of the Manager of Information Technology, the IT Support Technician will be responsible for supporting, monitoring and maintaining the Municipality’s computer systems and end user devices. This position will also be the first contact for IT support for Municipal and Police Services staff, and have responsibilities for some IT initiatives.Goal Statement:As a member of the Municipal team, each employee is responsible for serving the citizens of Strathroy-Caradoc by meeting the ratepayers’ needs and expectations, as articulated by Council, by striving to be the best in everything we do through attitude, training and creativity, and for representing the Municipality as a strong, integrated organization dedicated to quality, sustainable and viable services.Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-year post-secondary education in computer systems technology, computer programming, or equivalent experience
  • CompTIA A+, ITIL v4, Azure and or M365 Fundamentals certifications are assets
  • Experience in desktop support
  • Experience with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 2016/2019, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work and be available evenings and weekends
  • Must have a valid class “G” Ontario Driver’s Licence with a satisfactory driver’s abstract
  • Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check prior to starting employment
  • Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to starting employment
