Job DescriptionAn Adult group home in Strathroy is looking to add 2 Night Staff to their team.The first opening guarantees a minimum of 48 hours and is Monday- Thursday (Friday morning) biweekly.The second opening guarantees a minimum of 36 hours and is Friday – Sunday (Monday morning) biweekly.Shifts are 12 hrs each.DutiesRequired to monitor the home through the night ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the residentsProvide companionship and guidanceResponsible for maintaining a clean environment and performing COVID disinfection/cleaning tasksSetting up for breakfast and completing food prep work for the following day.Education RequirementNot Applicable Experience RequirementApplicants are required to be over the age of 18 and have no criminal record.First Aid/CPR, Safe Food Handling, WMHIS and Ontario Health and Safety Awareness training is a requirement for which 30 days are granted to obtain any pertinent certifications related to the position.Applicants need to demonstrate reliability and integrity as the shift requires substantial independent time management and prioritizing skills. Compassion and mindfulness is a crucial asset.Experience or knowledge of mental illness would be an asset.The applicant must be able to work as a team member.Opportunities for further training will be made available throughout employment.Availability to cover non-scheduled shifts is an asset.Salary DetailsWage: $14.25 - $15.00/hour.
