Job Description

The PEI ATV Federation has an immediate opening for a permanent full-time Administrative Assistant located in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. The primary focus of this role is supporting the daily operations required by the Federation. This position provides highly skilled, direct administrative support, assistance, and guidance to the Executive Director. We offer flexible schedules and the ability to work on-site with the Executive Director and work remotely. Join our adventurous team, supporting the progress of tourism-based ATVing on the island!Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monitor day-to-day finances and liaise with the treasurer
  • Schedule appointments and maintain a calendar
  • Assist the Executive Director in setting up meetings/calls
  • Provide comments on documents and website changes
  • Answer phone calls and emails
  • Attend board meetings, and keep minutes
  • Perform data entry and scan documents
  • Organize, maintain and utilize paper and electronic filing systems
  • Support the communications person with social media posts, and other projects
  • Liaise with the member clubs and support the Federation’s initiatives
Specific tasks
  • Assist the Executive Director with the day-to-day operations of the office
  • Collect, log, and distribute trail permit applications
  • Pay invoices, record outstanding amounts, track expenses
  • Prepare documents for monthly board meetings
  • Identify grant and fundraising opportunities
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience or education in the field of administration is an asset but not necessary
  • Willingness to learn, take courses, and take enrichment opportunities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer skills - knowledge of or willingness to learn Google drives
  • Task and detail-oriented
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Must have a cell phone
