The Employee shall be responsible for day-to-day carpentry, maintenance and repair tasks relating to Red Sands Properties Inc.’s clients and residents. The Employee reports to Red Sands Properties Inc.’s Supervisor of Maintenance.Job Title: Carpenter and Maintenance WorkerHours: Full time Monday-to-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm, some weekends and evenings, as requiredStart Date: ASAPPay: $22-$26/hour, based on experience and qualifications, plus overtime opportunitiesJob type: Permanent with 3-month probation periodVacation: 2 weeks paid vacation or 4% vacation payLocation: Various locations across PEI, with Summerside being the hubJob duties: · Ability to lead a small team on job sites· Quote jobs and manage project costs· Provide project time estimates and ensure team meets deadlines· 5+ years experience as a carpenter· General maintenance and renovations skills such as framing, flooring, painting, dry walling, seam filling, etc.· Basic Plumbing including changing of faucets, toilets and shower heads· Electrical work such as: light fixtures, bulbs, switches and receptacles· Perform minor fixes such as broken locks, patching holes in walls, touch up paint and tenant turnover requirements· Perform scheduled maintenance tasks like checking gutters, oil tanks, sump pumps, etc. upon request· Painting and basic seam filling· Building decks and basic carpentry workExperience needed: 5+ years of relevant carpentry experience is requiredRequirements: · Must have valid driver’s license· Must have a truck or van (will be paid mileage on all travel)· Must provide a clean and current criminal record background check· Only candidates demonstrating the experience and the requirements listed above on their resume will be considered for this position.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $22.00-$26.00 per hourSchedule:
