Job Description

TUBE-FAB A 70-year-old, aerospace assembly & component manufacturer, is currently seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver/Materials Handler to join our team in our Summerside, PEI facility. We are seeking individuals who are dedicated and committed to making Tube Fab Ltd. an industry leader.Please submit your resume via email. Only Resume for those individuals who are currently in the Province will be considered.Job SummaryResponsible for all logistical and shipping functions for the PEI Facility, involving all materials, supplies, raw and finished product coming in and going out to vendors, outside processors, clients and the company’s own related warehouses. Shipping & Receiving of all goods; Inventory management and control; transportation and logistical management and the preparation of all necessary records and paperwork including records of shipments and bills of lading and day tickets for all carriers. Responsible for accuracy of the shipping documentation and verifying shipping (packing lists) with the sales orders.This Position will be reporting the Operations Manager of our PEI Facility.Essential Functions

  • Supervising all incoming and outgoing shipments. Loading and Unloading of all delivery vehicles.
  • Inventory and stores management. Manage Receiving and documentation of incoming materials and supplies.
  • Internal Way bills, Commercial invoices and all related domestic and international documentation.
  • Prepare bills of lading or day tickets for each shipment. Notify All departments and facility warehouses.
  • Notify supervisor or CSC when major discrepancies occur, over-shipments, or substitutions have been made.
  • Maintain other shipping records such as goods damaged, returnable pallets, returnable gaylords, dunnage, etc.
  • On shipped goods, check and count all items loaded from cars, trucks, or trailers. Check count and report discrepancies to the traffic manager/purchasing manager, and sales.
  • Interfaces with other departments as required.
  • Manage all transportation vendor relationships; all bookings; all documentation; all interactions between transportation and logistical vendors and company.
  • Management packaging and storage areas.
  • Create and present Department reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to Company Management.
  • May have special assignments, 5S and Six Sigma projects.
  • May move materials on shipping dock.
  • Load and unload trucks suing a forklift
  • Keeping Shipping and Receiving area in clean and organized environment.
  • Perform other duties or functions to assist the company, as requested by your supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Experience – 2 years of similar job responsibilities an asset
  • Forklift ticket
  • Leadership, communication skills required.
  • Good Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills in mainframe and PC (UPS, Federal Express, Microsoft, and/or Corel).
  • Professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in dealing with employees.
  • Some physical effort required in lifting less that pallet loads of goods to hand truck.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator’s permit for operation of forklift truck.
  • Willingness to take additional training on personal and/or company time.
  • Willingness to work extended hours from time to time.
  • High School Diploma
  • College/CEGEP/Vocational training considered an asset
