ROLE PROPOSITIONMantles Restaurant & Lounge, located in the lower lobby of the Sun Peaks Grand and the heart of the village core, welcomes hotel guests, visitors to Sun Peaks Resort and the local community. We are looking to hire Restaurant Support staff, somebody who may be looking at getting started in hospitality or who has limited experience but is seeking to develop their skills further. Someone who has a taste for mountain adventure and will complement our existing team by playing a vital role in creating positive experiences for our guests. • Assist the restaurant team by running food and drinks to tables, bussing and resetting tables, and helping to greet and seat guests as required
• In the role of host, be the face of the restaurant - greeting and seating guests and using TouchBistro reservation software to keep the restaurant floor plans up to date
• As food runners take food to tables according to seat position and announce dishes to guests
• Bus tables as necessary and provide support to the serving team
• Answer the telephone professionally to respond to guest enquiries, take food orders either for collection or delivery in-house, and make table reservations
• Be responsible for the In-Room-Dining service when scheduled, ensuring food and drink are delivered to guest rooms, guests are billed, and quality checked in due time
• Deliver exceptional guest experience by following the standards of service
• Anticipate guest needs
• Use the POS system to send guest orders to the kitchen and bar and bill guests
• Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, tidy and ,well-presented restaurant on a shift-by-shift basis
• Prompt and accurate cashing out at the end of service
• Ensures operational Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Acts as an ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort & Sun Peaks Grand Hotel
• Willing to assist other Food & Beverage operations within the hotel, including banquets, and perform any other duties as necessary

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Passionate about the mountains and skiing & snowboarding
• Prior restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
• Knowledge of table reservation software (OpenTable / TouchBistro)
• Serving it Right Certification
• Micros Simphony POS System experience
• Excellent food and wine knowledge
• Ability to work as a team and demonstrate initiative
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration and guest experience
• Must be available to work various shifts, including availability on weekends
