Job Description

Our core business is commercial construction of financial institutions, restaurants, offices and retail spaces. We #39;re doing construction differently, and we #39;re thinking outside the box about how we can improve our company and our industry.Construction Estimator We are looking for an energetic + competitive Estimator to join our growing team who, reporting directly to the Director of Estimating + Preconstruction. This role will be responsible for estimating hard tender and construction management projects. This role is based at our Surrey Office, but we offer remote + flexible working arrangements.RequirementsPersonal Characteristics:

  • Calm - ability to manage fast paced estimating environment and stay calm under pressure
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Training in estimating procedures and quantity survey
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and On-Screen take-off software
  • Must have excellent command of the English language, verbal and written
  • Post-secondary, technical education (BCIT) or similar in a construction or industry-related program
  • Previous experience estimating commercial construction projects would be an asset
Responsibilities:
  • Strategic planning to determine best approach to pricing and tendering
  • Tender document review to determine necessary scopes and subcontractors
  • Solicitation of contractor bids
  • Distribution of plans to qualified bidders
  • Data entry of contractor proposals
  • Follow-up and review of contractor bids
  • Finalize tender documents and submissions for projects ranging in value from $500K- $10M
  • Manage and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors
