Forbes Bros. Ltd. is currently looking for a full-time General Foreman to join our growing FB Bullet team based out of Surrey BC. Specializing in shallow utility construction in the lower mainland, the FB Bullet team continues to see significant growth in the region. Key Responsibilities:

• Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFEamp; never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
• Provide supervision and planning in the successful completion of projects. Oversee the method of construction, manpower, equipment, and material needed and quality control
• Perform audits of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices
• Proactively manage and review the project crews and ensure they are meeting the goals and requirements of the contract
• Manage unit work or lumpsum work to ensure it is completed to client and bid specifications
• Plan, direct and participate, when applicable, in day-to-day work activities to ensure that established goals and objectives are met
• Report on problems and the solutions to Management
• Enforce and ensure compliance to Healthamp; Safety and Work practices
• Enforce equipment maintenance schedule and advise when repairs are required
• Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned

What We Are Looking For:

• Minimum of five (5) years #39; experience in underground utility construction and hydro/telecommunication
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast-paced environment
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills, attention to detail, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Highly effective at building and managing client/vendors relationships
• Flexible, willing to work long hours if required.
• A self-motivated individual that requires minimum supervision and with goal and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to coach and mentor
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlookamp; PDF documents
• Haveamp; maintain a valid drivers license, and acceptable drivers abstract
