Fraser Grain Terminal (FGT) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual to bring their passion and hands on skills to a role as General Labourer our terminal in Surrey, British Columbia.Fraser Grain TerminalThis brand new, state of the art terminal is a joint venture between Parrishamp; Heimbecker, Limited (P amp;H) and GrainsConnect Canada Operations Inc. (GrainsConnect) and has been in full operation since October 2022.Both partner companies in FGT have demonstrated their commitment to the growth of Canadian overseas markets by making significant investments in resources to efficiently export Canadian farmer’s grain and specialty product exports and contributing to the world’s food supply chain. Your RoleThe General Labourer will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of Fraser Grain Terminal (FGT).The ideal candidate will be a positive, hardworking, and reliable individual that enjoys working in a team and creating a productive, safe and healthy work environment. Day to Day

  • Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments.
  • Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years #39; experience in material handling, specifically with container loading in a similar environment.
  • Experience in a general labour job, preferably in agriculture and/or terminal operations.
  • Experience operating a forklift or heavy machinery considered an asset.
  • Class 5 driver #39;s license.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to perform duties on your feet for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to work in environments subject to dust and allergens.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions.
