Job Description

Job DescriptionJOB PURPOSETo assist with all receiving, processing, shipping, returns and inventory operations in the Distribution Centre:unloading/loading by Powered MHE and/or by hand, lifting, scanning, sorting, picking, packing, labelling and checking stock as required. To ensure the Distribution Centre operates with optimum precision and efficiency. Working within all areas of the warehouse depending on the business requirement: Receiving, Processing, Shipping, Inventory Control and Returns.COMPENSATION - $23.00 an hourESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

  • Work under supervision and direction of department Supervisor and team lead
  • Help to efficiently carry out all Distribution Centre tasks with the use of Powered MHE
  • Follow all policies and procedures related to powered equipment, including inspections, safety checks, routine maintenance and training
  • Scan and track incoming and outgoing orders
  • Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents
  • Inspect receivables for defects, damages or missing items
  • Properly scan and inventory incoming goods
  • Perform detailed manual inventory counts as required
  • Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval
  • Pick , prepare, package and label goods for shipment
  • Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders
  • Load and unload product to and from trailers and containers by using Powered MHEs and/or manually
  • Keep workplace clean and tidy (general housekeeping)
  • Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management
  • Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all times
  • Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
  • Work with other Distribution Centre team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
