Job Description

Forbes Bros. Ltd. is currently looking for an experienced Labourer - Warehouse and Yard (full-time, permanent) to join our growing FB Bullet team based out of Surrey BC. Specializing in shallow utility construction in the lower mainland, the FB Bullet team continues to see significant growth in the region.The Labourer - Warehouse and Yard (full-time, permanent) will be responsible for performing basic tasks involving physical labour in the warehouse and yard at our Surrey BC location. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to deal when cleaning and preparing sites, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removing potentially hazardous waste materials. Responsibilities:
  • Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFEamp; never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
  • Carry and move materials as needed
  • Operating small equipment and hand tools
  • Spotting for vehicles and equipment
  • Warehouse/Yard setup and cleanup, ensuring trash, debris and potentially dangerous materials from the construction site are removed
  • Assisting craft/crew members with loading material
  • Follow instruction and adhere to safe work practices
  • Development of skills on varied and challenging tasks
  • Perform additional laborer tasks and duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
  • Minimum one (1) years #39; experience in as a warehouse/yard labourer. Experience in underground construction considered an asset.
  • Experience operating Forklift and Loader considered an asset
  • Able to distinguish between colours
  • Able to complete physically demanding work that includes bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Strong work ethic with a positive team attitude
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of Pre-Access D amp;A testing, presenting a valid Driver #39;s License and an acceptable drivers abstract
