Job Description

On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Project Manager (Datacenter) to join their team on a 6-month contract with potential extensions.Summary of the role: The successful candidate will oversee the management and implementation of key datacenter projects supporting the transition of services at a public sector healthcare facility. This role will involve project leadership, coordination with technical teams and service providers, and ensuring alignment with broader organizational strategies.Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Provide project leadership for the development and implementation of datacenter solutions.
  • Establish project plans, ensure timely delivery, and report on progress.
  • Collaborate with managed service providers and internal stakeholders to implement proposed solutions.
  • Develop and execute a communications plan for key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate regular meetings, updates, and workshops to ensure alignment with the datacenter’s vision.
  • Oversee technical coordination, including system testing, validation, and data transfer.
  • Implement change management strategies to ensure a smooth transition and user adoption.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the new service provider against established SLAs.
Core Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, particularly in datacenter environments.
  • Experience with SAN Storage and Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software.
  • Strong background in datacenter inventory management.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex technical transitions.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder communication and change management.
Desired Skillsamp; Experience:
  • Previous experience in public sector or healthcare environments.
  • Familiarity with managing outsourced service providers.
  • Experience working within large, complex organizations.
Terms: This is a 6-month contract starting from September 30, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025, with potential for extension. The work location is hybrid, with onsite requirements as needed.
