Job Description

Ocean Park Mechanical (OPM) is one of the premier design-build mechanical contractors of Western USA and Western Canada, with operations in Washington, Oregon, California, and British Columbia. Specializing in value added engineering and design-build projects, our goal is always to build the most efficient systems for the best value possible.With projects ranging from low-rise and high-rise residential, hotels, and offices, as well as industrial and commercial projects, we have continually proven our ability and desire to provide the best service possible for our clients. By providing the majority of mechanical requirements in-house, including engineering, 3D-design, sheet metal, HVAC, refrigeration, and controls, we are a “ONE-STOP” shop for any project.Purpose of Position: The Service Manager will provide leadership to multiple OPM technicians on a variety of projects for the installation, maintenance, and repair of modern plumbing and HVAC systems. They will ensure all work meets regulatory plumbing system requirements. The Service Manager will assist the service operations team with completing work orders, billing and scheduling in a timely manner with utmost efficiency, remaining within budget all while maintaining a high-quality standard. Reporting Structure: The Service Manager reports to the Operations Manager – BC.What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary of $110,000 to $130,000 CND per year D.O.E

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, management, mentorship to the service team
  • Ensure technicians have the training, tools, and resources to accomplish their work
  • Facilitate compliance with all WorkSafe BC regulations and OPM safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with building and plumbing code requirements and regulations
  • Provide service and tenant improvement quotes and supervision of both from start to finish
  • Keep accurate and complete records including customer records
  • Accurately document service and installation activities
  • Read blueprints and be able to diagnose problems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in conjunction with technicians
  • Complete preventative maintenance proposals
  • Provide service and tenant improvement quotes and supervision from start to finish
  • Address inquiries and maintain relationships with clients and technicians
  • Identify potential business prospects
Experience, Educationamp; Qualifications:
  • 5 years’ service plumbing experience in commercial or high-rise residential buildings
  • Plumbing/AC Red Seal Ticket
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Gas-B ticket, Gas-A considered an asset
  • Extensive knowledge of Mechanical systems
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Self-motivated individual with a drive to take initiative to assist with various tasks
