Position DetailsCompany: 0924203 BC LTDCompany Location: 14655, 67B Ave, Surrey, BC V3S 0Z4Position: Tile InstallerJob Type: Full-time; PermanentNumber of Positions: 3Salary: $27.50 per hourExpected start date: As soon as possible.Work locations: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Surrey BC, and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC) as per the companys contracts with its clients.Job duties:Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, leveling, and marking them. Apply and spread adhesives like mortar, cement, or glue with precision using a hand trowel. Set tiles in position and apply pressure to affix tiles to the base. Ensure correct tile alignment using leveling tools, squares, and straight edges. Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstructions and openings using hand and power-cutting tools. Fill grout gaps between tiles and trim any extra grout. Adhere tiles to various surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings, and roof decks, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Handle marble and granite materials, including cutting, polishing, and installation with extreme attention to detail. Remove and replace damaged tiles promptly and efficiently.Job requirements:Completion of Secondary school would be considered an asset but not mandatory. Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program in the trade OR minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar trade.
