Day and evening shifts are available. The shifts are typically 6am-2pm or 11am-7pm. We are looking for casual staff that can pick up shifts as needed. Hours will vary from casual to full-time based on facility needs. Job Benefits:

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Serve meals to residents
• Communicate regularly with dietary supervisor and cooks about meals, leftovers, wastage, temperature, and any other concerns
• Complete nourishment assignments as per menu and nourishment plans
• Follow diets, meal plans, and serving sizes as directed by the registered dietician and/or the dietary supervisor
• Adhere to resident #39;s likes and dislikes list and communicate any changes to the registered dietician and dietary supervisor
• Assist with basic food preparation
• Practice safe food handling procedures, proper hand hygiene, and infection control procedures
• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• Current Ontario Food Handler certificate
• Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate is preferred
• Satisfactory professional references
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar LTC setting***
• Computer literacy is a must
• The ability to focus on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
