Job Description

Purpose: The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for performing stocking duties related to the shipping, receiving, sale, and delivery of parts and accessories. This role contributes to the efficient and profitable operation of the dealership, with potential involvement in selling, back counter parts provision, in-store customer service, and overall organizational promotion.Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Place machine down and stock ordered parts in assigned locations promptly.
  • Perform duties to facilitate the shipping of parts and accessories.
  • Verify receiving and receipting-in of parts shipments.
  • Monitor shortages and expedite processing through reporting to Parts Manager.
  • Assist with merchandising displays.
  • Provide support to parts department staff, as assigned.
  • Perform organizational duties in the parts warehouse.
  • Keep the parts department clean and orderly.
  • Transport parts, small equipment, supplies, and paperwork between dealer facilities; may also deliver to customers.
  • Maintain records of pickups and deliveries, obtaining necessary signatures and receipts.
  • Assist in customer service duties, in-person or via telephone.
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks.
  • Supply service technicians with parts, as assigned or required.
  • Participate in training programs for skills and knowledge development.
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations by self and others.
  • Build and maintain constructive co-worker relations and effective team dynamics.
Critical Capabilities:
  • Data entry/keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used in the department.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. repeatedly; ability to lift between 40-75 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, if necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift license preferred.
  • Shipping and receiving or materials handling experience is considered an asset.
  • Agricultural parts and machinery knowledge is an asset.
  • Farming background/experience is an asset.
