Job Description

S3 Manufacturing, a division of S3 Group Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Professional Welders to join our team in Swift Current, SK.Since 1966, our company has been designing and building specialized equipment, products, and custom components for end-users and other manufacturers around the world. S3 fosters a respectful, teamwork environment where ideas are valued and everyone contributes with significance.Job Overview:

  • Effectively communicating with technical and production staff
  • Producing weldments to specification, using shop drawings and instructions
  • Maintain a safe and neat work environment
Requirements:
  • Perform all welding operations
  • Read and understand shop drawings and instructions
  • Understand how to use and care for jigs
  • Use hand power tools
  • Recognize material sizes and specifications of raw and in-process product
  • Accurately complete time records and work orders
  • Be a positive team player
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work safely
  • Punctuality and maintain good attendance
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to understand production machines such as mills, grinders, lathes, drill presses, forklift, overhead cranes, sanders and saws
  • Ability to spot potential safety problems and recommend corrective action
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
  • Physically and visually demanding work
  • Decision making skills
  • Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills in English
  • Forklift Operator Certification an asset
