Job Description

Anchored Recruiting is delighted to partner with Breton Ability Centre to find an Executive Assistant tobe part of their inclusive and compassionate team.Our client, Breton Ability Centre, is a purpose driven organization, developing people and supportingthem through their personal, social, and educational needs to help actively participate in theircommunities. They have an exclusive opportunity for a highly professional and caring individual to jointheir diverse, dedicated Senior Management Team. This Executive Assistant will play a critical role insupporting the Senior Management Team, specifically focusing on leading the office of the CEO.The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a high degree of accountability, attention to detail,integrity, consistency, and follow through. They will work closely with the CEO being her “right-hand”,where she will lean on you to act as the first line of support in all matters and act as a bridge ofcommunications with internal and external stakeholdersWe are seeking an excellent communicator with impeccable interpersonal and time management skills.The candidate must be able to maintain a high-level of discretion and integrity in handling privateinformation. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, be able to complete a high volume of tasksor projects and have excellent problem-solving skills.As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Act as first point of contact for the CEO in all aspects, creating trusted relationships with staff
and be able to act on the CEO’s behalf as needed
  • Provide superior calendar management to the CEO’s Calendar and anticipate upcoming
commitments
  • Prepare, edit and proofread correspondence, vendor management, presentations, brochures,
publications, reports, and related material as needed to help the CEO effectively lead theorganization
  • Act as principal contact for all matters concerning to the CEO and demonstrate good judgement
in prioritizing issue management
  • Evaluate and develop policies and procedures to assist with the operations of the organization.
  • Liaison with the Board of Directors and provide support through minute taking and logistics and
have an understanding of bylaws regarding board matters.
  • Minute take at meetings and ensure follow through for action items
  • Manage email correspondence and maintain a priority list of follow up actions and call list
  • Provide supervision to one administrative assistant within the Breton Ability Centre team
Our client is offering you:
  • Compensation for this position will range from $56,000 to $62,000 based on experience
  • Includes comprehensive benefits package through the Health Association of Nova Scotia
  • Includes competitive defined pension plan though the Nova Scotia Health Employee’s Pension

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or
secretarial program
  • Undergraduate degree is an asset
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support
and office coordination at the executive level
  • Non-profit board experience considered an asset
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
