Job Description

Tricycle Lane Ranches Ltd (TLR) is a 27-year-old Property Management and Land Acquisition company serving its sister company, BURNCO Rock Products Ltd. (BURNCO), a 112-year-old construction materials business. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Team Lead for our Operations Control Centre (OCC) to join our Calgary Corporate Office.Reporting directly to the company president/OCC Manager, the OCC Team Lead will oversee the daily operations of the Operations Control Centre, which serves as TLR’s and BURNCO’s security department. This role requires a self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and has the ability to manage a team effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadershipamp; Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the Operations Control Centre (OCC) Team, ensuring smooth operations and security service delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the OCC team, including scheduling, delegation, and performance management.
  • Conduct training, coaching, and development initiatives to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the OCC Manager to ensure compliance with security management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and facilitate package deliveries to the Head Office, ensuring timely receipt, proper handling, and secure storage, while ensuring the OCC team is equipped to manage the process efficiently.
Securityamp; Risk Management
  • Assist with all security operations, including monitoring and managing security systems, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and key control systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative security measures, including the development and maintenance of Preventative Maintenance Plans (PMPs)
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Response Procedures (ERPs).
  • Ensure all security objectives align with organizational health and safety policies.
  • Support the implementation of security systems across Canada and the US.
  • Maintain accurate security records and documentation.
Facilityamp; Incident Management
  • Monitor weather and media events that may impact employee safety or property security.
  • Respond to incidents and provide support to internal teams and external partners as needed.
  • Follow incident reporting procedures and ensure all required follow-up actions are completed, while ensuring the OCC team adheres to established protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee the Building Automation System (BAS) for the Head Office, with the potential to expand management responsibilities to BAS systems at other locations.
Reportingamp; Compliance
  • Provide weekly reports on security activities, incidents, and improvements.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to security protocols.
  • Work closely with other departments to address security concerns.
RequirementsWhat We Would Like From YouQualificationsamp; Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in security operations or risk management.
  • Prior leadership or team management experience preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strongproblem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
