Helical Pile Solutions is a deep foundations contractor with over 30 years of experience in the industry, recently acquired by Java Holdings Ltd. (“Java”).Java staff have over 50 years of experience building some of Canada’s largest electrical infrastructure projects.We are seeking a Shop Labourer for our growing team in the Edmonton area. The Shop Labourer reports to the Manufacturing Manager and/or facility Supervisors. This position will involve assisting Welders, Mechanics and Supervisors within the shop and yard environment. Duties will include shop/yard clean up, operating shop tooling, overhead cranes, skidsteer and various hand tools.RequirementsEssential Functions, Major Duties, and/or Accountabilities:

• Handle materials within the shop and outdoors as required.
• Operate basic hand tools and powered hand tools, i.e. drills, disc grinders, etc.
• Operate equipment as described in Company procedures: metal cutting saws, cutting torches, drills, forklift, skidsteer.
• Perform work safely and follow established work procedures.
• Perform general tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
• Other assigned work as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must wear PPE at all times while in the Shop or Yard. Must supply own steel toed boots.
• Basic hand tool knowledge.
• Work well with others and independently.
• Capable of working within a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow direction, remain alert and maintain a high level of concentration.
• Have good judgement and the ability to react quickly.
• Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic.
• Forklift and skidsteer operation experience are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One- to two-years’ related experience.
• Must pass a 50-lb physical fitness test and Drugamp; Alcohol test.
• Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, reliable transportation and clean abstract.
