Plasman, Tecumseh Manufacturing is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Provincially Licensed MILLWRIGHTReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician performs maintenance functions and assists fellow maintenance technicians as a team in the activities of the Maintenance Department.The duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times and ensure that a clean and safe work environment is maintained
  • Proactively complete maintenance work to include electrical, pneumatic, robotic, mechanical,amp; general repair and maintenance of all equipment to maintain quality and production levels.
  • Troubleshooting of equipment and miscellaneous downtime issues.
  • Preventative maintenance of equipment within manufacturers specifications.
  • Building Maintenance and preventative maintenance as necessary.
  • Fabricating or building items as requested
  • Trouble shoot and assist Paint / Robotics Department with all clean room related issues
  • Perform maintenance / cleaning on paint gun and all required components
  • Recommend and participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • During management system audit events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures and participate in corrective action activities as necessary.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with other maintenance personnel to complete assigned tasks
  • Complete any other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must posses certification as a Licensed Industrial Mechanic-Millwright
  • Completion of formal maintenance education or training programs
  • Previous training and experience in the areas of electrical, PLC, mechanical
  • Must have strong knowledge and experience working with equipment and facilities maintenance,
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, electrical, mechanical
  • Ability to work shift rotations and/or overtime with little or no prior notice.
  • Ability to perform well in high pressure situations.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills both written, verbal and computer (including Microsoft products - Excel, Word, Outlook).
MINIMUM EDUCATION/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • .Must have License as Maintenance Millwright
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-5 years in industrial work environment, with preference to those who have automotive paint experience
