Job Description

BREAKER TECHNOLOGY Ltd. is a leading Canadian manufacturer of high-quality rock breaking systems, hydraulic attachments and underground mobile equipment for the mining, construction, and aggregate industries worldwide. Our company has been in business at the same location for 65 years and we attribute our success to our people.Safety, quality, and productivity is the cornerstone of our longevity.In order to recruit and retain the best people we are currently seeking a:Human Resources Administrator / Recruiter – 6 Month Contract The successful candidate will work closely with the Human Resources Manager in the following areas:

  • Assist with recruiting activities such as placing advertisements, screening applicants, sourcing candidates, arranging virtual interviews, reference checks and creating employment offers.
  • Review hiring requisitions with the hiring manager to assess job requirements in order to recruit the best qualified candidates,
  • Assist with new hire orientation and training as required for new employees,
  • Work within the HCM database (Oracle) to on-board new employees, input employee information, develop reports and act as an employee resource on system functions,
  • Assist with reviewing and renewing company policies for legal compliance,
  • Communicate with external recruiting agencies on hiring needs,
  • Report regularly on HR metrics such as vacancies, time to hire, turnover, etc.
  • Assist with other HR activities related to employment policies and the Ontario Employment Standards Act.
  • Assist with HR sponsored company initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • A strong commitment to working safely and a willingness to actively participate in our health safety programs,
  • A post-secondary education in a related discipline along with a minimum CHRP certification,
  • Three to five years’ related experience in Human Resources,
  • Prior experience in recruiting and on-boarding,
  • Knowledge of employment relevant employment legislation (ESA and Human Rights Code),
  • Previous experience working with HCM (Human Capital Management) software an asset. (Oracle preferred).
