We’re conscious of our impact and try to minimize our footprint as best we can.Position SummaryDimes Cannabis Budtenders are at the front line in creating our experiential cannabis retail brand. As a bud tender you are to assist customers, both novice and veteran in navigating the world of recreational cannabis consumption. Successful budtenders will have intimate knowledge of our boutique’s inventory. Our Budtenders will work with customers to recommend the best product based on customer preferences, so they can suggest the best product for that customer. Budtenders are also familiar with the different cannabis accessories (pipes, vaporizers, etc.) as well as the wide range of smokeless edibles, concentrates and tinctures and can speak about the different methods and modes of cannabis consumption. Dimes Budtenders are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and of course cannabis. Their professional interactions will help ensure that our customers have a safe and enjoyable cannabis experience.General Accountabilities & Duties- Always greet customers as they enter the store following our 5-10 Second Rule of Engagement- Timely ID all customers who look under the age of 25 years, as required by the Cannabis Retail Store Operating book as well as our 3 phase ID check protocol- Use and be familiar with operating the POS systemo Browse inventory for customerso Place Ordero Facilitate Payment- Facilitate an educational and informative experience for all customers, regardless of their experience with cannabis as per our store customer service guidelines- Recommend products including cannabis flower, oils, concentrates, edibles, topicals, and cannabis accessories to customers.- Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined by the Boutique Store Manage and Assistant Store Manager- Assist management with either opening and/or closing the store at the beginning or end of shifts- General maintenance, restocking and housekeeping/cleaning procedures set in place by management- Report any suspicious and or abusive behavior by customers to the management team and Security- Take initiative with creating new processes to streamline a better customer experience- Providing the best in-in-class customer experience to our guests, providing upbeat customer service assistance- Maintain physical store cleanlinessJob Qualifications- Must be 19 years of age or older- Must provide a copy of completed Cannabis Cannsell Retail Certification prior to start date- Must provide a copy of a clean updated Criminal Background Check prior to start date- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a retail store and or hospitality environment with strong operational knowledge- Relevant education will be considered- Mobile and ability to work flexible hours- Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced sometimes-unpredictable environment- Must be able to work days, evenings, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays- Must be able to do shift work between the hours of 8:00 am – 11:30 pm Monday-Sunday- Attention to detail is required- Ability and desire to educate customers and the community about the benefit associated with cannabis without making any claims or medical advice- Familiar with the Thornbury community is an assetSkills - Excellent verbal and written communication- Active listening- Coordination- Monitoring- Social perceptiveness- Critical thinking- Judgment and decision making- Management of material resources- Management of financial resources- Easily adaptable to an ever changing work environmentDimes Cannabis is an equal opportunity employer.
