  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours as required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid full stage Manitoba Class 5 Drivers Licence.
  • Must be willing and able to work in rural field locations, on lakes and on rivers as required, which may include inclement weather.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including the ability to lift and maneuver a minimum of 30 kg.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Pleasure Craft Operator Licence
Qualifications:Essential:
  • Mininum one year post-secondary studies in resource management or biological sciences; emphasis in fisheries or wildlife management preferred.
  • Ability to identify fish species with a working knowledge of fish community and fish habitat assessment methodogies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to record, compile, and manage large data sets.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in the safe operation of 4x4 trucks while towing trailers
Desired:
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel incuding entering and manipulating biological data
  • Experience operating boats including knowledge of safe boating practices
