Job Description

Overview:The Estimate Reviewer is responsible for assessing and approving simple to moderately complex estimate supplements through an automated platform. Youll work closely with Estimator who pride technical advice and guidance to ensure accurate processing.Responsibilities:

  • Takes digital pictures for the estimating file:
    • Vehicle Identification Number
    • All four sides of the vehicle: front, back, left side, right side
    • Damages up close and afar
    • Supporting estimating photos including odometer (showing mileage), dashboard, interior views, tires and tread depth
  • Uploads pictures to WorkCentre and enters journal notes.
  • Works collaboratively with an offsite estimating team assessing the approval portion of the estimate.
  • Using an automated system, reviews supplements to ensure accuracy, quality of photos and relevance to the historical documentation of the claim.
  • Modifies and corrects supplements to meet established approval standards.
  • Approves supplements as appropriate.
  • Determines depreciation on damaged vehicle parts in accordance with established estimating standards.
  • Determines if a vehicle is repairable and documents the claim accordingly.
  • Liaises with body shops regarding supplement discrepancies and/or changes as required.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with auto body shop personnel as well as Direct Repair Facilities.
  • Triages Direct Repair first estimates and supplements to the appropriate active estimator.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant I-CAR or trade related courses are an asset.
  • Experience:
  • Three years related experience with physical damage claims or within an auto body environment.
  • Technical Knowledge and Skills:
  • Mathematical aptitude and ability to perform basic calculations.
  • Working knowledge of current software and programs related to motor vehicle body and repair industry, i.e., Mitchell RepairCenter, WorkCenter, UltraMate is an asset.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of motor vehicle construction, repair and mechanical operation.
  • Novice oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to various audiences.
  • Organizational, decision making, and customer service skills.
