Job Description

Position ScopeDMC is currently looking for Mine Technician to provide the necessary survey control for the construction and development of all facilities, infrastructure, and excavations to support underground mining.Key Accountabilities

  • Measure, record and report development advance as required, on a per shift basis.
  • Advise supervision of any remedial work which may be necessary to bring lining installations into compliance with project specifications.
  • Measure, record and report physical and environmental conditions
  • Support supervision and crews to promote safe working conditions and to work in accordance with the site rules.
  • Provide updated as built and planning drawings to required parties, as required.
  • Participate in accident / incident investigations as directed by supervision / safety department.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
  • Engineering Degree or Engineer Technician Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience of Auto CAD
  • Previous surveying experience is required
  • Ability to work as part of a project planning team
  • Underground Mining experience and/or knowledge and asset
