Job Description

Responsible for the operational management of the Supply Chain program and assists with programs, processes andstaff to ensure adherence to approved cost, quality and delivery standards within the Northern Health Region (NHR).Through a collaborative process, provides implementation of strategic plans, policies, procedures and standard at thesite level and regionally as required. Ensures all processes in Supply Chain are followed and monitored for efficienciesincluding evaluation of quality initiatives and improvements. All work to be performed in a manner consistent with thephilosophy, goals and objectives of the department and the NHR as well as the established standards which governSupply Chain.This position requires provision of service and travel within the region.The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/ Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry Check andAdult Abuse Registry Check, and adhere to all Northern Health Region (NHR) policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business/Management (other combinations of education and experience may be
considered)
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or related designation in Logistics or Supply Chain; is an asset
  • Valid Class V Manitoba Driver’s License with access to a vehicle and willingness to travel the region year-round
  • Four (4) years comprehensive experience in Supply Chain
  • Two (2) years’ supervisory/management experience in a unionized environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Pains an asset
  • Knowledge in Transfer costing process
  • Knowledge and understanding of the geographical characteristics/challenges and transportation links in the
North
  • Knowledge of Health Care related supplies and equipment is an asset
