Job Description

Fisher Wavy is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Backfill Plant Supervisor at our Vale Operations in Thompson Manitoba. This is a full-time year-round position with an excellent compensation package.Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Must be capable of managing up to 15 employees
  • Must be willing to work safely and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Must be able to work independently and with management
Job RequirementsEducation
  • Highschool diploma is an asset
  • Valid G Drivers License is required
  • Loader Operator experience/certificate is considered an asset
  • Valid AZ or DZ License is considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to work on Vale Property
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory/management position
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the mining/concrete industry is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating with internal and external customers
  • Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our business
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion when provided with instructions
  • Knowledge of mine backfill, concrete or similar plant operations
  • Ability to use computer programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
  • Must be willing to adhere to all company policies and procedures
