Job Description

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible verifying entries and reconciling these entries to other systems, allocating expenses to the appropriate cost centers, paying vendors according to established procedures, report sales tax over multiple provinces, and verifying monthly statements.TASKS:

  • Match AP invoice with PO backup
  • Follow up on discrepancies
  • Work with vendors and purchasing to resolve issues
  • Input AP into ERP system
  • Use MP2 to track Maintenance invoices
  • Issue cheques and ACHs on a schedule
  • Pay select invoices via corporate credit card
  • Clear VISA payments in ERP system
SKILLS:Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, at least 2 years experience in AP, Advanced mathematical andlogical deduction skills, experience with customer service and client communication, Excellentcommunication and problem solving skills, ability to create and edit excel spreadsheets, last but notleast familiar with accounting software programs.Also, the following:
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Ability to reconcile accounts
  • Able to manipulate Excel workbooks
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Dependable
