General Aims/Summary: This role will actively assist the order processing/finance department by ensuring that all telephone calls are directed to the right department and general administrative duties are fulfilled, such as entering orders into the system.Key duties and responsibilities: · 1st telephone responder: answering incoming enquiries and queries, taking orders or directing to the appropriate person or department.· Handle minor admin tasks from the sales team (mail outs, etc.)· Process all customer Purchase Orders into Sales Orders, send customer confirmations· Taking and processing payments from customers, including entering cheques and taking card details· Processing customer credit applications (5-10 per month)· Work with procurement team to assist with purchasing – includes forecasting material usage, creating purchase orders, and following up with vendors on PO shipping dates· Take a lead role in the Customer Care team. Take care of all incoming customer inquiries and direct to relevant colleagues.
