Job Description

Job Summary: The function of Millwright is to ensure that all machines at MJ Manufacturing are maintained and in proper working order.Knowledge and Skills (Education):• High degree of Mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of Mechanical and Electrical procedures• Knowledge of machine rigging procedures• Basic knowledge of machining and welding• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, specifications and manuals• Ability to incorporate technical reports• Good communicator in the English language, both written and oral • Minimum 1 experience in similar position, or successfully completing a credited apprenticeship program.• High level of time managementMajor Accountabilities:• Maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedule.• Perform full diagnostics on equipment and advise Maintenance Supervisor and/or Purchasing Manager of parts required to perform necessary Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs • Physically maintain machines and equipment at MJ Manufacturing• Must ensure all paperwork and logs are completed prior to shift end• Follow Machine Safety Guidelines, ensure proper lock out procedure are followed at all times• Maintain proper Company housekeeping standards • Responsible to maintain company tools as required to fulfill duties• All other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers• Support weekly production requirements• Participate in any continuous improvement activities.• Assist in monitoring downtime/uptime and abide within the Department/Company goals.• Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee HandbookWorking Conditions:• Working in a plant environment• Frequent distractions and interruptions• Multiple demands, challenging, fast paced, team orientated environment, can be noisy• 100% plant floor (PPE required)Effort/Physical Demands• Constant communication with employees, peers, and management• Constant standing, walking, bending and lifting (light to heavy) and climbing• Warm/Cold temperatures• Overtime as required, 24 hour on callHealth and Safety Responsibilities• Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures• Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company• Complete understanding and knowledge of lock out, fall protection and confined spaces proceduresMartinrea International Inc. is proud to provide employment accommodation during the recruitment process.
