This philosophy can be seen in every aspect and level of our home.A day in the role of an Unregulated Care Person at Tillsonburg Retirement Residence .As a UCP, you will report directly to the Director of Wellness. This position will be a temporary part-time afternoon or overnight position. Schedules will be provided.This position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Assisting with personal care such as toileting, bathing and dressing as needed,
  • Assisting with meals as needed,
  • Following the care plan, observing and reporting any substantial findings and/or changes in patient/resident/client’s behavior to the appropriate registered member of the healthcare team,
  • Administering medication and adhering to all medication administration policies and procedures ,
  • Laundry and housekeeping tasks as required
QualificationsAt Tillsonburg Retirement Residence we take pride in our employees, so your qualifications are important to us. We use them to get to know you and see if we are a good fit for each other. The qualifications needed to join our family at Tillsonburg Retirement Residence are as follows:
  • PSW Certification preferred
  • Training for Medication administration
  • PSW experience in Retirement or long-term care preferred
  • Mentally and physically able to perform duties as assigned
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, residents and families
  • Demonstrates empathy, concern and interest in providing quality care and service to residents
  • Demonstrates organizational skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely fashion
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to provide resident care in accordance with application legislation, job routines, nursing care plans, ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
