We are working hard to transform the camp experience and create a warm, welcoming environment and a steakhouse vibe in the dining facility. The camp is expected to grow to over 1200 beds during peak construction. We are looking for energetic, reliable, trustworthy, and passionate individuals to join our team and make our project successful.The maintenance technician reports to the Camp Manager and is responsible for light maintenance around camp.Job Description

  • Planned maintenance checks on assets in camp (light bulbs, doors, taps, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting maintenance issues as they arise (plugged toilets, leaky faucets, broken or damaged cosmetic equipment)
  • Replacing doorknobs, lightbulbs, and other items as required
  • Cutting keys and testing keys in all doors as required
  • Hanging or removing items from walls
  • Inspecting, cleaning, and replacing filters as required
  • Removing garbage from dorms and disposing at designated garbage site daily
  • Collection, distribution, and management of laundry in camp
  • Assisting janitorial and housekeeping staff in heavy lifting and other tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Valid G license required
  • Experience using light power tools required
  • Experience working in busy environments
  • Ability to work independently and remain on task
  • Previous hotel or camp experience an asset
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Employment is contingent upon you being fully vaccinated for COVID 19 prior to commencing employment. You are required to provide the required proof of vaccination which will be securely and confidentially held in your digital employee file.
Additional InformationWork Schedule and CompenstationThe Lead Baker works a rotational schedule of 14 days on 14 days off. Travel is provided from point of dispatch locations: Timmins, ON or Sudbury, ON. Accommodations are provided in camp free of charge.The Maintenance Technician starts at $20 per hour.Benefits are available after 90-day probationary period and are 75% employer paid, 25% employee paid.Quick Apply
