LOOKING FOR A GENERAL HANDYMAN/WOMAN TO ADD TO OUR TIMMINS TEAM!Your role is to be our local handyman/woman, with the goal of helping us complete the overall maintenance and repairs to our apartment buildings. We currently manage 150 apartment doors.We are looking for part-time positions with daytime hours and some on- call after hours. After-hours are paid at a premium wage.Average part-time work week will range from 20-25 hours with the opportunity to work full-time hours on larger projects. We are flexible! The extra hours are there, you choose if you want to work them!COMMON TASKS/DUTIES:- Building upkeep- Unit Inspections (General + Fire)- Patching and Painting- Drywall Repairs (mostly minor)- Minor plumbing (Replace leaky faucets, cartridge replacement et.)- LOCKS- Replacing/installing deadbolts/locking door handles- LEAKS- Troubleshoot reported leaks (Plumbing, roofing, tenant error et.)PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:- Flooring installation experience- Use of a truck for garbage runsIMPORTANT- For the right applicant, additional training and supported to be provided!YOU MUST HAVE:- A vehicle and a valid Drivers License- A smartphoneSKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:- Experience and competence with the mentioned Common Tasks/Duties listed above.- Attention to Detail- Good communication skills is a must- Self-Motivated- Ability to work independently, unsupervised and under pressure- Good time management skills to meet strict deadlines- Comfortable with using a smartphone- MOST OF ALL: Pride in workmanship!ABOUT US- We are a well established property management company in Sudbury, ON that has branched into the Timmins and District Area to better serve the area with a management team that is a step above the rest.
