Ornge is committed to creating and promoting diversity, accessibility, and inclusion in the workplace.**POSITION STATUS: TEMPORARY; FULL-TIME & TEMPORARY; PART TIME (UP TO 12 MONTH CONTRACTS)LOCATION: TIMMINS BASEREPORTING TO: CHIEF PARAMEDICCOMPENSATION: $38.30/HOUR AS PER THE CBA*POSITION SUMMARY: *Ornge seeks qualified Primary Care Paramedics to staff a newly funded ground transport program designed to augment Air Ambulance Operations in Timmins and the Northeastern Ontario Region. Operating out of the Timmins Air Ambulance Base, the incumbent is responsible for the safe ground Ambulance transportation of patients between airport and sending & receiving healthcare facilities, including support for Critical Care Transport of patients being cared for by Advanced and Critical Care crews. This is an exciting opportunity for Primary Care Paramedics to gain clinical assessment and transport skills, as well as exposure to Advanced and Critical Care equipment and treatments to support future professional advancement. The incumbent will perform duties related to maintenance of equipment and supplies, and participate in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The Paramedic practices with medical skills and knowledge in the transport environment within his/her scope of practice and adheres to all Ornge/MOHLTC medical directives, policies and procedures.
