Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications, and renewable energy construction projects.The Truck and Coach Apprentice (310T) will work alongside experienced mechanics to assist in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. This role offers hands-on learning opportunities to develop the skills required for obtaining a 310T Truck and Coach Technician license. The apprentice will gain practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems while contributing to the operational readiness of the fleet.Requirements1. Maintenance and Repairs:· Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire replacements, brake adjustments, and fluid top-ups.· Support the diagnosis and repair of diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and air brakes.· Help troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems under supervision.· Participate in the repair and maintenance of trailers and attachments.2. Training and Development:· Learn to use diagnostic tools, specialized equipment, and technical manuals.· Participate in in-house training and attend offsite trade school sessions required for apprenticeship progress.· Follow instructions from certified mechanics to complete tasks safely and efficiently.3. Safety and Compliance:· Ensure all work follows workplace health and safety guidelines and company policies.· Assist with inspections to ensure compliance with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.· Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring proper care and use of tools and equipment.4. Record Keeping and Documentation:· Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.· Track work hours to meet apprenticeship program requirements.EDUCATIONamp; EXPERIENCE:
