The CompanyLocated on Hwy. #6 and near the centre area of Tobermory within the Bruce Peninsula, Adventure the Bruce Inn is a medium-sized modern motel offering a combination of cozy rooms, cabins and exquisite outdoor facilities and activities. Our Inn is minutes away from many of the attractions of the Upper Bruce Peninsula – your trusted resort for premier diving, hiking, skiing, and dog sledding.With recent renovations of our facilities and an increased number of reservations throughout the year, we are excited to expand our dedicated management team with an experienced purchasing officer. The position will work alongside with our trusted vendors and potential new business partners in support on the procurement of goods and services needed. This is a mid-level position with growth opportunities as Adventure the Bruce seeks to expand our brand across the beautiful province of Ontario.What Your Daily Routine looks like- Responsible for assisting Adventure the Bruce Inn with day-to-day operations of the procurement process.- Helps with the development of a list of preferred and potential new supplier both domestically and internationally for the company, plus perform quarterly reviews of existing purchasing contracts with the management team.- Perform regular reviews of purchasing orders for accuracy prior to them being issued to suppliers.- Assist management in determining the purchasing and logistics strategy and best practices for sourcing quality goods while ensuring costs are minimized.- Assist management in the development of Delivery status Report to ensure the timeliness of scheduled deliveries and goods.- Assist management in the review of vendor quotations to ensure the best quality of goods within budget.- Regular monitor of issues or concerns regarding arriving shipments and communicates and coordinate delivery with appropriate parties.- Assures suppliers and vendors deliver materials and services in accordance with standards of price, time, quantity and quality agreed upon.- Discover, Develop, and maintains positive relationships with both international and domestic vendors.- Assist management in ensure all purchasing invoices are produced with compliance on agreed contract terms during closeout.- Responsible for ensuring records are maintained and procurements are documented from origination through completion.The Ideal Candidate- 3+ years of progressive experience in a purchasing/procurement role- Comprehensive knowledge of freight and logistics are required, previous experience in sourcing and importing goods is a plus- Comprehensive experience in the procurement of goods in multiple sectors, including but not limited to food and beverages, in-house appliances, equipment, machines and more.- Basic mathematical skills with ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages and averages required.- Able to discover, build and maintain long lasting relationships with vendors and suppliers both domestically and internationally.- Previous procurement experience in Hospitality industry is highly preferred, related procurement experiences are acceptable.- Ability to work efficiently individually and as part of a team- Excellent Communication Skills, fluency in another language is a plus.- Excellent time and project management skills.Adventure the Bruce would like to express our sincere gratitude to all applicants for their interest, however, only qualified candidates would be contacted.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $35.00-$40.00 per hourBenefits:
