The successful candidate must either currently hold or be eligible for a full time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. Effective start date is September 1, 2024, or earlier if mutually agreeable.The successful candidate will hold an M.D. and FRCPC qualifications (or equivalent specialist designation) with certification in Neurology. Applicants must have or be eligible for licensure in the province of Ontario. The ideal candidate will have completed a post-residency advanced training degree (or equivalent) in Clinical Epidemiology at the masters level or higher. The candidate must have a career focused on Headache Medicine and have completed a minimum 1-year advanced fellowship in Headache Medicine, including experience in the administration of onabotulinumtoxinA PREEMPT protocol for migraine as well as cranial nerve blocks for cluster and other headache types. The ideal candidate will have national experience in guideline development or other standards of practice development.The successful candidate will dedicate 50% of their time to Headache research. Experience in cluster headache research is an asset as this is an area the Headache program desires to advance. The successful candidate will be committed to the advancement of the work of the Centre for Headache with the remainder of their time being in patient care, clinical teaching and supervision in Headache Medicine.The successful candidate should be an effective teacher, committed to scholarly contributions to teaching and education. In addition, the ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills and have demonstrated capacity and aptitude for effective interdisciplinary clinical and scholarly team collaboration and interactions.The Centre for Headache is the only academic medical centre in Ontario dedicated to research, education, expert evaluation, and individualized treatment plans for patients suffering from migraine, cluster, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias and many other types of headaches.Women #39;s College Hospital is the first independent, fully ambulatory hospital in Ontario and is a University of Toronto fully affiliated teaching hospital. The Women #39;s College Hospital Centre for Headache team is a dedicated group of clinicians managing a broad range of headache disorders in an ambulatory setting.
