Job Description

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the smooth operation of a complex, distribuated system of hundreds of servers (on-premisis)
  • Architect and develop performant, highly-available software, carfully optimising systems that handling 1.5 million requests per second providing a response within 120ms]
  • Lead complex technical projects from planning to execution
  • Coordinate efforts, releases and work with other teams within the organization
  • Understand our platform in the context of its business in-depth and drive investigations of issues when they arise
  • Mentor other developers in the team
  • Provide thought leadership and identify growth opportunities
What You Will Bring:
  • 6 years of professional software development experience
  • 3 years of writing RESTful web services and working with relational databases
  • Coding experience with Java and Kotlin
  • Experience with Spring
  • Experice with highly available, highly performant systems
  • Experience in database schema design, infrastructure and SQL
  • Experience in NoSQL Databases
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments
  • Expertise in design patterns and functional programing
  • Familiarity with Networking in the context of server management
  • Familiarity with Big Data concepts, inclusive of Hadoops, HDFS or Druid
  • Familiarity with concurrency
  • Code quality mindset
