Job Description

The Associate Materials Developer, Colour, plays an integral part in this process through collaboration with the Design and QA teams. This involves supporting the colour team, ensuring the success and timely development of colour. This role is a 12 month contract.About The Role:

  • Tracks seasonal color lab-dips, color trim developments and Graphics developments in PLM system, ensuring data integrity on both new and carry-over fabrications.
  • Orders missing standards from Sophie Color and/or Pantone.
  • Provides weekly updates to cross-functional team on seasonal colour and AOP developments.
  • Maintains raw Materials colour library, filing lab dips, colour standards and approved graphics.
  • Manages the export of approved colour and graphics from PLM to D365 system.
  • Shipping and receiving of colour standards and colour + graphics submissions.
  • Creates standard cards for RM QA + FG Sourcing Team.
  • Distribute approved colour and print developments to QA and Offshore team.
About You:
  • Degree in Textiles, Textile Engineering or Fashion Design
  • 1-3 years of work experience, preferably with outdoor apparel industry with a working knowledge of the industry
  • Highly organized and self sufficient
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and aptitude
  • Process driven and able to handle and prioritize multiple projects at once
  • An action-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Collaborator with excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be flexible, solution oriented and adaptive to changing priorities and quick turns.
  • Knowledge of textile manufacturing process, development and timelines
  • Experience working with vendors outside of North America
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office, Illustrator, PLM)
