Regardless of the delivery framework (Waterfall/Agile) this role will demonstrate a commitment to creating productive, engaged and capable delivery team(s). Ensure key metrics provide the basis for teams to deliver quality customer experiences, in a timely manner building and fostering a culture of transparency focused on the ability to inspect and adapt as needed. The project manager collaborates with product, engineering, design and our business partners ensuring that software delivery is on time, on budget and in a way that meets the business expectations. The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of all project artifacts, risk assessments and will conduct projects in accordance with Tangerine delivery standards and follow Project Management methodology.This role is a hands-on manager with experience delivering business/technology initiatives and familiarity with banking products like Credit Cards and Lendingamp; Payments. The PM supports the business in delivering their vision and provides oversightamp; guidance to a team of software and quality engineers that actively pursue effective delivery of solutions spanning mobile and web applications, integrations, backend services and APIs and in alignment with the Enterprise Technology Roadmap.Is this role right for you In this role you will:

• The Project Manager is accountable for the overall planning, execution, management and delivery of Project to ensure delivery on the business strategy and project objectives in the Business Case by managing the delivery process end to end.
• The Project Manager partners with business and technology functions to deliver on the enterprise objectives with ongoing monitoring, measurement and reporting.
• The Project Manager oversees all project activities and team members for assigned projects to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget.
• Prepare and maintain a project plan and schedule that accurately reflects the critical path tasks, time estimates, dependencies and resources (including personnel, technology and equipment) associated with each task, ensuring the inclusion of all required System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) artifacts and processes as defined in the Delivery Framework.
• Track and report project progress against requirements and project objectives throughout the project life cycle. Regularly communicate status to project stakeholders using agreed communication strategy.
• Manage project risks and issues proactively by identification, assessment, ongoing management and reporting of project risks and issues. Timely escalation of risks and issues to management and key stakeholders,ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
• Good content creation and presentation skills, that are concise and clear to convey messages to all audiences.
• Manage and collaborate with control functions and business units as appropriate and work with external partners (Scotiabank, vendors, regulators, etc.) where needed.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders from IT and Business areas.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role We #39;d love to work with you if you have:

• University or College Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant discipline
• 7+ years of experience directly managing business and/or technology projects, preferably in the Canadian banking industry
• Experience delivering banking products like Credit Cards , Lendingamp; Payments is a must have

Professional Certification

• Project Management certification (PMP) or equivalent PM certification is considered an asset

Technical Skills

• Demonstrated ability to effectively use MS Office Suite (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of delivery tools for effective workflow visualization and management (Jira, Confluence, Service Now etc)

Abilities

• Proven ability to lead project teams consisting of a variety of resources; business and technology, local, remote, internal and third party
• Demonstrated experience utilizing software development and project management methodologies
• Proven ability to independently manage small and medium size business and technology projects
