Arbutus Medical is a rapidly growing medical device venture that sells orthopaedic power tools and surgical procedure kits to help hospitals streamline surgery for the good of patient care.We are a 15-person team seeking an Account Manager to lead product implementations and deliver training to both healthcare professionals and medical device sales reps. Our goal is to enable 5 million surgeries by 2030.Why this role, and why nowWe recently closed a $3.5MM round of financing to fuel growth and become the market leader in our focus market: skeletal traction procedures at U.S. trauma centers. In this market, our complete surgical solution for skeletal traction helps save time for busy surgeons and ER staff, ultimately improving ER throughput (a hot-button topic in 2023) and saving money for hospitals. We currently have 35 Trauma Centers using our product and aim to reach #1 market share by 2025. We will also be launching two additional complementary products in 2024.We need our Account Manager role to help us handle the increasing volume of customers and sales reps requiring product training, and to lead product implementations and demonstrations at hospitals across North America.   • $70,000 - $75,000 starting base salary (commensurate with experience)

We need you to help us grow.As an Account Manager, you will report to the Director of Sales and work to lead product implementations andto make sure the customer is utilizing our solution effectively on a daily basis . You will meet our clients and communicate the value of Arbutus Medical’s product lines, including technical features and benefits on patient care, to ensure full utilization. You will also process orders, coordinate with other departments to resolve inquiries, and focus on cultivating a digital relationship between Arbutus Medical and the many stakeholders at the hospital.This role is based in Toronto, ON (Hybrid work environment), with the requirement to travel 75% of the time within North America.   • Running product implementations at newly signed hospitals
  • Ensuring that the customers are continuously using our product by monitoring usage
  • Supporting the sales team as required
  • Assisting in new account launch activities, including but not limited to: training health care professionals, creating contact lists with key points of contact, designing new Emergency Department workflows
  • Monitoring and addressing drops in utilizations
  • Performing health checks
  • Re-training institutions as required due to turnover
  • Converting residents into future users
  • Developing and maintaining an active line of communication to gather actionable product and account feedback
  • Importing incoming resident classes into CRM and ensure they are properly trained to use Arbutus Medical products
RequirementsYour Experienceamp; Capabilities
  • 3 years of sales and business development experience in a B2B environment
  • Strong in-person presentation skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of handling a high volume of data
  • Technical skills - (Google sheets/excel skills, experience automating systems)
  • Capable and experienced traveler, located close to Pearson International Airport, meeting travel requirements across North America up to 75% of the time. While there is a lot of travel, we will ensure you will be home on weekends.
Nice to Have
  • Background in Clinical / Orthopedic, medical device, pharmaceutical sales or equivalent
  • Previous use of CRM
