Through these partnerships, everyone is focused on ensuring a commitment and responsibility toward anti-racism, anti-oppression, equity, diversity, inclusivity, and belonging.MISSIONThe Manager, Childrenamp; Youth On-Call Supports will be instrumental in supporting staff in managing arising situations including code responses while providing direction on treatment.A key component of this role will be to ensure timely and accurate documentation for incident and serious occurrence reporting.The individual must be committed to the innovative, team-based models that support our evidence-based care, which ensures that services are time-limited to case management, community outreach and advocacy. The Pod Group is partnering with this organization to place a compassionate, analytic and hands-on leader to fulfill the role of the Manager, Childrenamp; Youth On-Call Supports.PRIORITIES

  • Lead the development and implementation of on-call support planning using evidence-based best practices in partnership with clients, families, and professionals in the community.
  • Be present and engage with staff after hours, documenting, managing and leading on-call supports across Youthdale.
  • Integrate input of the multi-disciplinary team into unified treatment plans and ensure they are implemented or supported after hours.
  • Provide clinical supervision (individual/group) to front-line staff and manage crisis situations, including code responses and assisting with patient care as needed.
  • Identify and address any challenges or opportunities connected to the delivery of care and services.
  • Support the team to recognize clients #39; complex needs and assist the staff in crisis care including restraints and preventative care in de-escalation techniques.
  • Attend and provide leadership in various forums such as leadership meetings, team meetings, case conferences, plan of care, client progress meetings, and quality improvement meetings.
  • Ensure that support, supervision, evaluation, and training are provided to staff.
  • Foster positive interpersonal relationships with staff, residents, visitors, outside agencies, government officials, and related professional associations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and standards of professional practice with respective regulatory bodies (e.g., Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Registered Psychotherapists, College of Nurses of Ontario, MCCSS,MOH, Auditor, Accreditation, etc.).
  • Maintain and adhere to all relevant legislation, organizational and occupational health and safety policies and procedures, and the mission, vision, and philosophy of the agency.
  • Lead and support staff in managing trauma-informed approaches with children and youth across the organization.
RequirementsTALENTSamp; EXPERTISE
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, psychology, psychotherapy, or relevant field. A master’s degree would be an asset.
  • Regulated Health Care Professional and registration with the Ontario Nurses Association, College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, OCSWSSW, or related professional association is preferred. However, candidates who do not belong to a regulated college but have extensive experience with inpatient and crisis experience will also be considered.
  • Supervisory experience in a related field managing and supervising interdisciplinary staff is preferred.
  • Experience in an in-patient setting and knowledge of children and youth mental health and the social determinants of health.
  • Ability to work evening schedules and provide on-site coverage, including weekends from time to time (Designated hours include M-F, 3:30-11:30pm).
  • Expert knowledge of system navigation and referral pathways to community mental health, addiction support, health, social agency resources, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to establish positive partnerships and work as a lead member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and write clear, concise reports and documentation.
  • Clinical experience is required to support decision-making, i.e., escalation or changes in service levels.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary collaboration/communication.
  • Experience facilitating transitions from treatment services and/or between hospital/LIT/Secure Treatment and the community.
  • Experience with intensive case management and ACT/FACT teams are considered assets.
  • Capacity to integrate research into practice and create, utilize, and/or disseminate new knowledge.
  • Position may be eligible as a full time, part-time and/or weekend role.
