Job Description

Join the Team that is Redefining Architectural InnovationEventscape is seeking a Laser Operator to join our metal fabrication team.The ideal candidate will be a natural problem solver with experience setting up and operating a CNC laser cutter and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.ABOUT THE ROLEThe CNC Laser Operator operator will:

  • Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings for fabrication.
  • Set up and operate Amada CO2 laser cutting machine for various materials.
  • Load programs, monitor machine operations, and ensure cutting quality.
  • Adjust settings to optimize material usage and minimize waste.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues, verify cut quality, and use precision tools.
  • Adjust laser programs using machine and/or CAD/CAM software.
  • Maintain machine consumables and perform routine checks and calibrations.
  • Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and track maintenance logs.
  • Assist with other machines and support team members.
  • Cut and fit material for assembly using powered saws, shears, bending, or punching machine.
  • Adhere to quality standards and assist with housekeeping and general maintenance.
ABOUT YOUTo succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Experience in setup and operation of CNC CO2 laser (Amada).
  • Familiarity with maintenance and calibration procedures for Amada machines.
  • Physical abilities to move sheet metal and other materials.
  • The ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality control.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance.
