Data Solutions Architect We are looking for a skilled professional to support our client in the insurance industry. This open role, based in downtown Toronto with a hybrid work model, involves leveraging advanced cloud technologies to design, build, and maintain data solutions. The position focuses on optimizing resource management, implementing robust security controls, and contributing to cutting-edge projects in data services and AI. Working alongside a collaborative team in an Agile environment, the successful candidate will manage the provisioning and automation of cloud resources while ensuring high-quality deliverables. This opportunity offers significant potential for skill development and career growth.What is in it for you:• Salaried: $75 to $81 per hour. • Incorporated Business Rate: $92 to $97 per hour.• 3-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.• Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.• Hybrid work: 3 office days, from Tuesday to Thursday.• Opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional environment.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities: • Design data solutions using modern cloud technologies, including Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Purview.• Implement and maintain security controls on cloud PaaS and IaaS solutions.• Document solution design and architecture, contributing to the value stream codebase.• Provide technical guidance to team members and lead small teams.• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software, data pipelines, and application infrastructure.• Participate in Agile sprints and ceremonies, translating user requirements into actionable software specifications.• Manage Hadoop-based EDL platforms using Ambari and automate provisioning of Azure services.What you will need to succeed:• Bachelor #39;s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field (preferred but not required).• 5+ years of experience in data management and solution design.• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, ARM templates, and the Azure Python SDK.• Proficient in Jenkins for IaC, DevOps, MLOps, and data pipelines.• Strong Linux experience as a developer and administrator.• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles, continuous integration, and modern software architectures.• Knowledge of database technologies such as MySQL, Postgres, Hadoop, and Spark.• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica.• Familiarity with scripting languages.• Understanding of software development lifecycles and API-driven development.• Experience managing and initializing cloud platforms, particularly Azure.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Problem-solving abilities and a collaborative attitude.• Ability to experiment with emerging technologies and anticipate their impact.Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
