Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and well organized Dental Office Administrator to join our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Team! We prioritize exceptional patient care in a welcoming and fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in managing appointment schedules, maintaining efficient office operations, and ensuring exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, handling cancellations and rescheduling as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker.
  • Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments.
  • Process and triage referrals in a timely matter.
  • Create and respond to office emails. Uploading emailed referrals and radiographs from referring dentists into patients electronic charts.
  • Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Assist with billing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy in transactions and insurance claims.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is required.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and administrative procedures in a dental setting is essential.
  • Quick typing skills essential, the ability to transcribe consultation notes into our electronic medical record system efficiently and quickly is required.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, particularly Tracker, is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations in a healthcare and fast-paced environment is an advantage.
