Job Description

Job DescriptionAbout the Role As the Healthamp; Safety Responsible for the CA Sales Market, in the Security function, you will help ensure a secure and compliant work environment. The incumbent will implement and oversee the national health and safety strategy, maintaining up-to-date policies, and ensuring adherence to local regulations. The candidate will enthusiastically drive health and safety initiatives, oversee office routines, and analyzes claim trends for continuous improvement and be the primary liaison with any CCOHS concerns. The responsible will ensure clear and constant communication of trends and incidents to relevant stakeholders. This position can be based out of the Toronto, CA office within our Security Function and reports to the Compliance Manager US-CA-PR. A Day in the Life

  • Set and implement health and safety strategy across the country.
  • Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are up to date, communicated and followed in line with all local and legal requirements.
  • Secure regular health and safety risk assessments
  • Regular monitoring of health and safety KPI’s and involvement of key stakeholders
  • Support the security department in taking preventative actions on health and safety matters.
  • Raise awareness by providing essential health and safety trainings per requirement.
  • Follow up on the compliance of colleague’s computer-based security trainings.
  • Ensure an effective incident/accident recording and monitoring system is in place.
  • Health and Safety incidents/accidents are reported and comply with local legal requirements.
  • Raise awareness of incidents/accidents across the organization and mitigate risks.
  • Drive the Health and Safety initiatives for the country (H amp;S week, office evacuation, safety
  • review, etc.)
  • Overview of Healthamp; Safety culture and routines in the H amp;M offices within the country
  • Monthly analysis of claim types, trends, and actions to improve.
  • Code any H amp;M related invoices upon receipt
  • Update guidelines based on changes in country/local/CDC recommendations.
  • Follow up and responds to CCOHS inquiries.
  • Analysis and communication to relevant stakeholders of WC and GL trends and incident types
  • Responsible for managing the lifecycle of the General Liability insurance claims as well as employee work related accidents.
